EXPOSITION DE PART, French law. The abandonment of a child, unable to take care of itself, either in a public or private place. 2. If the child thus exposed should be killed in consequence of such exposure; as, if it should be devoured by animals, the person thus exposing it would be guilty of murder. Rose. Cr. Ev. 591.
